False Representation

When HeRoos and I were dating he told me that he wasn't a big sport's fan. This was refreshing news (some of my previous boyfriends and guy friends were big into sports).

Then something happened... last season HeRoos started watching football. Not just casually watching it when it was on but looking forward to it. "What???! I thought you didn't like football?" His response, "I didn't. Now I do. There is something about getting married and having the sudden urge to watch football" I thought only women had the right to change their minds.

I was informed today that there are only 21 weeks left. At least now I can take an extra long Sunday nap without any interruptions. I'm sure BM & HeRoos will have plenty of time for male bonding and when I get the 'sudden urge' to see men in tights, maybe I'll join them.

Wait until he gets sucked in to Fantasy Football. Then they watch it while they simultaneously watch their laptops with their team stats. I'm going to request to work every Sunday and Monday until February.

Yea, I have to say I agree with you, when I married your brother I saw not even a hint of a love of watching sports, so now when I'm suprised he wants to watch, he's offended because I never really knew him???? I think in reality, while dating WE are more interesting than the "game" and now that we're all "caught" we're just gonna loose to the game every time!!

Funny. I am so glad Andy HATES sports. Seriously, he does. When we went to Chicago recently, he said he would rather see Wicked than go to a Cubs game. So we did just that. And when it comes on the news, he changes the channel. He is into car shows - we go to lots of car shows. I'm not complaining.

You will learn something about football. For example, the players name amd what college they played for even if you don't want to or plan to. That's a good time to sit or sleep close by your husband, (great commercials during half time) eat greasy hot wings and pizza and look up from the book you're reading and pretend you're liking it ( the game.) (I always wonder what the players would look like without helmets and wearing regular clothes. Welcome to married life. Join the bore and snore club . Love, G.R.

Funny. I always thought that was one of the cool things about you. That you liked sports--or at least faked it well. What about basketball? Do you still go to Jazz games?

Clinton, don't you worry-I'm still cool (eventhough I think I'm too old to use the word and seem cool). ;) I like sports but in moderation. I'm still a Jazz fan and I actually like watching them on TV but watching football and golf on tv puts me to sleep. I much prefer watching them in person.
